PERSONAL STYLE | Black, White and Just Right

Laurina Machite South African Fashion Blogger White Tight and Just Right

First of all shout out to my mother for taking me shopping the day I stumbled upon this dress in Woolworths, I absolutely love it! It’s not too long, not too short, not too bright and not too tight! It’s exactly what whomever invented dresses wanted dresses to look and feel like (in my opinion, of course).

I am currently obsessed with all thing black or white (or beige, nude, dusty pink, anything neutral in fact) so having two of my favorite neutrals in one dress is heaven. The material of the dress is thick enough to make you feel warm without overheating you. I am constantly feeling cold so this is an ideal dress for me. It was windy and kind of cold outside (despite glaring sun) the  day I decided to shoot this dress. But unlike most of my thinner material dresses the cold didn’t pass through the fabric and hit my skin. Fantastic!

I love the fact that it is beautiful and elegant enough to be a wonderful transitional dress. And by that I mean it is appropriate for the office and a slight change of heels will make it appropriate for a drinks date after work. Depending on how tall you are the length may become a little inappropriate for the work place, but I am short so I would totally rock it.

In order to transition from day to night the closed court shoe I am wearing can be switched with a sexy pair of one-strap black or white heels. You could also let your hair down and add a pop of color by putting on some matte red  lipstick and you’re good to go!
